I came here for lunch with my husband, my son and his wife, and two kids ages 1-1/2 and 3. Service was friendly but a little slow, considering that there were only three other parties in the restaurant. The food was good. I had a BLT on wild rice/cranberry bread. Veggies were fresh and bacon was good and meaty. It had Miracle Whip instead of mayonnaise (a little too sweet for my tastes) and the bread was more tough than crisp. Also the fries were not quite crisp enough. My husband ordered a "bowl" of chili that would have been enough to feed all four of us! It was tasty, too. It came with corn bread that he said was a little dry. My daughter in law loved her Reuben and my son liked his burger. Kids had chicken fingers and a grilled cheese sandwich, both with fruit cups that included some past-prime grapes. The restaurant is a barnlike space in a strip mall, but clean (especially the restrooms, extra points for that!) If this had been in a larger town or a tourist location I might not have rated it as highly. However, there aren't many places to eat in Silver Bay and it's about what I would have expected. It was fine for a quick lunch along the road but it's not a destination restaurant.

My friend and I just hiked into town from the Tettegouche State Park area and we were VERY impressed with the food! Fast, friendly service, melt in your mouth steak with the best tasting burgers! I can certainly see why they won their awards. Next day we had breakfast and we were equally impressed. We met the owners - very friendly. Breakfast menu was limited and overpriced. $8 for simple breakfast "mcmuffin", $12 for 4 topping omlet, $2 more for hasbrowns? Interior was recently renovated. May have better dinner/burgers.

We left after 10+ minutes no service after waitress said she'd be right with us then proceeded to sweep the tables by us & other staff ignored us. Very poor experience!

You can't judge a book by its cover! This strip mall restaurant was just remodeled and is beautiful inside. The food was really delicious--we had breakfast. Good coffee. High quality ingredients. We would have given 5 stars, but the prices were high. Minus 1 star for value. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the North Shore.

The Cajun burger was very good. I also tried the cheese curds and liked the subtle "kick". The service was average and the price reasonable. Would I come back? Yes. Would I go out of my way? Maybe not.

I had one of the best made Reubens in a long time! This place has been recently remodeled and under new management, it is a wonderful sit down place with very reasonable pricing! This is the best restaurant In the town and nearby in the 'Bays'. Right off the north shore Highway, it's worth a stop for any size of meal. I give four stars because my fries were overcooked, but I think it's a five star place on a normal day!

Good...basic...relatively inexpensive food up the hill in Silver Bay. Had a BLT ($4.25!)...added a side of delicious Cole slaw. Hu by opted for chicken sandwich - asked for tomato which was forgotten but still happy. Standard - fare french fries. Ordered 2 diet cokes...waitress put a pitcher on the table. Friendly staff...clean....strip mall location. Definitely beats fast food!

We frequently stay in Beaver Bay Area for vacations and were pleasantly surprised by great remodel of Northwood's. Only complaint is pendant lights above booths and tables is too bright. The menu is quite extensive and food is of higher quality. We will definitely return!
